How to Set Up Google Lead Ad Email Notifications

Here’s how to set up email notifications for Google Lead Ads and the lead form extension. This is currently available to LeadSync customers on Marketer and Agency accounts. Sign up here for a free 14 day trial.

  1. Login to your LeadSync account and click Connections, then the Add Connection button.
  2. In the Setup Connection form, select Email from the Connection drop down, enter the email address to send lead data to, then name your connection. Click Update Connection.
  1. In your Google ads account find your existing Lead Form extension by going to the Ads and Assets > Assets and select the Lead form filter.
  1. Click to edit your Google lead form
  1. Scroll to the bottom of the lead form settings page and click “Other data integration options” in the Export leads from Google Ads section
  1. In a separate browser tab, login to your LeadSync account and go to the Lead Forms section. Click on the “Add Google Lead Form” button.
  2. Copy and paste the Webhook URL (a.) and the Key (b.) from the LeadSync into the relevant fields in your Google lead form
  1. Enter a name for your Google lead form in LeadSync (c.), then select the Email connection you wish to send your Google leads to (d.), then click Update notification to complete your Google lead email notification setup.
  2. You can test your lead notification setup by click the Send test data link in you Google Ads lead extension setup.

How to Send an Email Autoresponder to Lead Ad Respondents

If you’d like to send an instant email response to Google Lead ad respondents. Here’s how:

Click Autoresponder > Add Autoresponder button

Name your autoresponder (this is for internal use only), and add a From Name, Reply to email address and Subject Line and add your email content.

Apply this autoresponder to the Google Lead Ads notification you created in the steps above and click Save.

How to send an SMS Autoresponder

From the Autoresponder section, click the SMS tab then the Add Autoresponder button.

Create your SMS response by adding a name (internal reference only), SMS message, then select the Connection you setup in the steps above from the drop down menu. Click Save autoresponder finish.
